A Living Legacy

Springfield is nestled amidst landscaped terraces and whispering pine forests in the heart of Kasauli. Its enviable location with a drive-in car park, places guests within easy reach of Kasauli's famous landmarks such as Monkey Point, Christ Church, Sunset Point and The Mall.

Springfield is a beautiful heritage bungalow that captures the grace, grandeur, and romance of a bygone era. Originally built in the first half of the last century, this stately residence once served as the summer retreat to the family of Lord S.P. Sinha. The property was acquired over five decades ago by Bhai Satinder Pal Singh and his wife Rajinder Kaur, a scion of the illustrious Jhumba family of the “Chiefs of Punjab”. Today, the residence is carefully preserved and maintained by his daughter's family, ensuring it retains its remarkable history, architectural authenticity, and timeless charm.

Springfield evokes a sense of old-world splendour. Every room has been thoughtfully restored and refurbished, preserving its heritage features while introducing modern amenities like air-conditioning and ensuite toilets that ensure a comfortable stay. The result is a perfect harmony between history and hospitality, where guests can enjoy the ambience of a colonial residence without sacrificing contemporary conveniences. The interiors are comfortable and sophisticated and adorned with warm furnishings and refined décor that reflect the fine character of the bungalow. Beyond the interiors, one of the property's most enchanting features is its spacious patio and sun deck, which offer breath-taking views of the surrounding hills and spectacular sunrises that bathe the landscape in hues of gold and amber. As daylight fades, the terrace becomes the perfect vantage point from which to watch the changing colours of the evening sky, creating moments of tranquillity that linger long after the stay has ended. Guests can enjoy leisurely breakfasts amidst birdsong, indulge in sumptuous barbecue evenings under the stars, or savour a glass of fine wine while breathing in the crisp mountain air.

Springfield offers guests a rare opportunity to experience the elegance of erstwhile Kasauli while enjoying the warmth and comfort of a family-owned heritage residence. Whether visiting for a quiet mountain retreat, a family celebration, or a leisurely escape into the hills, a stay at Springfield is not merely a holiday; it is time to build memories of timeless Himalayan hospitality.
