Rose Cottage - A Heritage Retreat in Shimla
Nestled in the heart of Shimla, Rose Cottage is more than a retreat - it is a living legacy. It was acquired in the 1930s by Hon'ble Colonel Sir Buta Singh and Lady Buta Singh of the illustrious “Chiefs of Punjab” family from Naushera Nangli, District Amritsar. Colonel Sir Buta Singh, a distinguished Member of the Council of States and the Defence Council of India, made Rose Cottage the family's summer residence during the era when Shimla was the Summer Capital of India.
Nearly a century later, Rose Cottage remains beautifully preserved under the family's care. Its original wooden floors, handcrafted timber ceilings, antique furnishings, and heirloom décor create a warm, elegant ambience that offers guests an immersive glimpse into Shimla's colonial past, whilst offering modern amenities & contemporary comforts.
Ideally located in the heart of town with drive in parking. The bungalow is just a convenient walk from the iconic Mall Road, the Himachal Pradesh Secretariat, and is close to many of Shimla's celebrated attractions; making it the perfect base to experience the charm of the Queen of Hills.
Rose Cottage is not just a stay - it is a curated journey into Shimla's heritage. Whether sipping morning tea in the patio, enjoying the glorious mountain views, hosting intimate gatherings in its elegant interiors, or exploring the vibrant town nearby, every moment here is designed to be unforgettable.
Indulge in history. Embrace luxury. Experience Shimla at its finest.
